Community Association of the Year

Once a year, the Rocky Mountain Chapter requests applications for the Community Association of the Year.  There are five categories in which an association can apply.  The categories are as follows:

            Very Small (1 – 50 Units)

            Small (51 – 150 Units)

            Medium (151 – 350 Units)

            Large (351 – 500 Units)

            Very Large (501 + Units)

Submission criteria include being a member in good standing of Community Associations Institute, completing an application and submitting documents such as written architectural control guidelines, a copy of the newsletter, written procedures or guidelines for handling rules enforcement procedures and any other written rules other than those contained in the Declaration and Bylaws. Applicants also are asked to write an essay describing accomplishments and events that would emphasize an outstanding association.

Winners in each category are decided by the Chapter Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.  The award presentations take place at the Rocky Mountain Chapter’s Annual Meeting and Educational Conference.

Winners of the 2006 Community Association of the Year:

Small – Columbine Townhouses Three Association

Medium – Danbury Park Homeowners Association

Large – Windsong Condominium Association

Very Large – The Landing at Standley Lake Homeowners Association
